Proceed as follows to add a subscription to an RSS feed to a blog so that new RSS feed posts are automatically imported into the blog.
- Click Blogs to show the list of all blogs.
- Click the name of the blog to which you want to add a subscription.
- Click the tab Subscriptions to show the existing blog subscriptions.
- A list of subscriptions appears or a message that no subscription exists for the blog.
- Select the action Add Subscription in the action bar at the top right edge.
- Enter a succinct name for the subscription (e.g. Google Reader recommendations).
- Enter the URL of the RSS feed you want to subscribe to. This URL must return an RSS or ATOM Feed.
(e.g. http://www.google.com/reader/public/atom/user%2F06704689901577593105%2Fstate%2Fcom.google%2Fbroadcast) - Enter the (comma-separated) list of tags to add to each imported post. (e.g. Google, Reader Import)
- Enter the (comma-separated) list of tags to remove from each imported post (e.g. Tricia).
- Confirm your input by clicking Save, or cancel input by clicking Cancel.
- The details of the blog are shown.
- Click the tab Subscriptions.
- The newly added subscription appears in the list.
All available content of the subscribed RSS feed is automatically added to the blog, and the RSS is checked for new posts at regular intervals. The administrators of your installation can define the frequency of checking.
