Changing the properties of a wiki

  1. Click Wikis to show the overview of all wikis.
  2. Then click on the name of the wiki you want to change (in the left column with the title Browse Wiki).
  3. Alternatively, click the action Browse this Wiki if a page of the wiki is being displayed right now.
  4. A page is displayed with the name, the tags, the link to the homepage and the alphabetical list of all wiki pages of the wiki.
  5. If you are authorised to change the properties of the wiki, the action Edit is shown in the action bar at the top right edge.
  6. Click Edit.
  7. The window Edit Wiki opens.

You can now change the following properties of the wiki.

  1. Change the name of the wiki. The wikis on a server must have different names.
  2. Change the tags for the wiki to help find the wiki faster in the list of all wikis on the server.
  3. Change the homepage of the wiki. This page is displayed when the wiki is opened without specifying a page, and constitutes the root of the menu hierarchy for the wiki.
  4. Change the editors, contributors and readers of the wiki. (see Managing rights.)
  5. Reset the editors and readers of all wiki pages of the wiki to the wiki default settings.
  6. You can add other editors, contributors and readers for the wiki (persons or groups). (see Managing rights)
  7. Change the URL of the wiki if necessary. When the wiki is being created this is automatically composed of the name of the wiki and can be up to 50 characters in length and may not contain any blank spaces or custom characters. Changing the URL of the wiki also changes the URLs of all wiki pages, attachments directories and attachments in the wiki.
  8. Change the theme (visual appearance) of the wiki.
  9. Switch on or off the comment function for the wiki pages of the wiki. Hidden comments are not deleted and can be toggled to show comments.
  10. Switch on or off TriciaScript running.
  11. Switch on or off the display of the attribute table of wiki pages in the wiki.
  12. Finish input by clicking Save, or cancel your inputs by clicking Cancel.

Notes

  • All changes to a wiki’s properties are logged in the version history.
  • If you have deleted all the editors of a wiki by accident, please ask a member of the group Administrators for assistance.
  • The editors can define different settings for comments, TriciaScript and the attribute table for each wiki page.
  • When changing the name, the original URL is not automatically changed. You must change the URL as a separate property.
