Creating a new wiki

  1. Click Wikis to show the overview of all wikis.
  2. If you are authorised to create new wikis, the action New Wiki is shown in the action bar at the top right edge.
  3. Click New Wiki.
  4. The window Create a New Wiki opens.
  5. Select a name for the wiki. The wikis on a server must have different names.
  6. Optionally, you can assign tags for the wiki to help find the wiki faster in the list of all wikis on the server.
  7. By default, you are the sole editor for the wiki and the wiki has no other contributors and no other readers.
  8. You can add other editors, contributors and readers for the wiki (persons or groups). (see Managing a group)
  9. The editors and readers of the wiki automatically become editors and readers for newly created pages. However, an editor can define different readers and additional editors for each wiki page later on.
  10. You can also delete yourself from the list of editors if, for example, you want to create a wiki for someone else.
  11. You can select a theme (visual appearance) for the wiki. In particular, it defines the style of the menu for the wiki.
  12. You can define whether or not comments for the wiki pages in the wiki are shown by default.
  13. You can define whether or not TriciaScript running is enabled for the wiki pages in the wiki by default.
  14. You can define whether the attribute table is shown for the wiki pages in the wiki by default.
  15. Finish input by clicking Save, or cancel your inputs by clicking Cancel.

Notes

  • All changes to a wiki’s properties are logged in the version history.
  • If you have deleted all the editors of a wiki by accident, please ask a member of the group Administrators for assistance.
  • The editors can define different settings for comments, TriciaScript and the attribute table for each wiki page.
