Inserting comments into content

If the editors of wiki pages and blog posts have activated the property Show Comments, an authorised editor or reader can insert comments into the content.

  1. Open the wiki page or blog post you want to comment on, and scroll to the end of the content item.
  2. There you see the number of comments previously inserted and an input field followed by a list of existing comments in reverse chronological order.
  3. Type your comment into the input field. The comment cannot contain any formatting other than line breaks.
  4. Close input by clicking Submit Comment.
  5. Your comment is added to the start of the comment list with your name and an avatar individually generated for your email address.

Go to  http://www.gravatar.com to store an avatar (e.g. a photo) for your email address. It will then always appear alongside your comments.

Deleting a comment

  1. Display the comment you want to delete.
  2. If you are an editor of the blog or author of the comment, the link Delete is shown.
  3. Click the link Delete and confirm deletion.
  4. The comment is deleted from the list of comments.

Editing a comment

  1. Display the comment you want to edit.
  2. If you are an editor of the blog or author of the comment, the link Edit is shown.
  3. Click the link Edit.
  4. The current version of the comment is shown, which you can edit and submit.

Displaying or restoring an older version of a comment

  1. Display the comment you want to edit.
  2. Click Versions.
  3. A list of all the previous versions of the comment is shown.
  4. Click the blue I in the column Properties to briefly show the differences between successive versions.
  5. Click Compare with current version to restore the version shown in this line.
