Searching for content
The search function gives a list of results matching the search criteria entered by you, sorted by relevance by default.
Full text search
Type your search terms into the input field.
- The full text search searches all system content (wiki pages, blog posts, files, comments, accounts, groups, etc.) in the form of texts consisting of words.
- The full text search determines relevance based on the position and frequency of occurrence of your search terms in the content item.
Adding additional search criteria
After the search results appear, you can add other search criteria. Your search can relate to different dimensions (facets) of the content. Each match must fulfil all search criteria in each dimension:
- Required Tags: A match has all these tags.
- Excluded Tags: A match has none of these tags.
- Attribute Filter: A match is a wiki page that contains a value with this search term for this attribute.
- Last Modification: A match was edited in the specified period.
- Content Type: A match is a content item of the specified type (wiki page, file, etc.)
- Type Tag of the content item: A match is a hybrid wiki page with this type tag.
- Space where content item is located: Select the wiki or blog in which to search.
- Contains Invalid Links: A match contains at least one broken outgoing internal link.
Start the search by clicking Go.
Changing match sorting
Instead of sorting matches by relevance you can sort them by last modification (most recent first) or alphabetically (by name of the content item).
- Select the sorting option from the list and then click Go.
Searching for tags
- Click a tag in the tag cloud to add this tag as a search filter in your search.
- Alternatively, click the button Tag Filter. You see three areas
- Required Tags: A match has all these tags.
- Clipboard: Tags entered or placed here have no affect on the search. The field can be used in the case of stored searches to predefine tag suggestions to further narrow down the search results.
- Excluded Tags: A match has none of these tags.
- Enter tags into each of the areas by mouse click and keyboard entry or by dragging displayed tags (in the tag cloud or in the matches) to one of the three areas.
- Delete displayed tags in the three areas by clicking them.
- Click OK to start a search with the changed criteria.
