Sending emails to the members of a group

 

Proceed as follows to send an email to all active (verified or unverified) members of a group.

  1. Make sure that you have administration rights for the group or that you are a member of the group and that members of the group are permitted by the administrators to send emails (see Creating a new group.)
  2. Click the button Groups to show the list of all Groups on the server.
  3. Select the group to the members of which you want to send an email.
  4. Select the action Mail to Active Members.

You can send the email either with your own email program or in Tricia email.

Using members’ email addresses to send emails with your own email program

  1. Click the field in which the list of email addresses of active (verified or unverified) group members is shown.
  2. Copy the addresses (CTRL-C) and paste them into the address line of your email program.

Composing and sending emails to all members with Tricia

  1. In the field From, enter the sender’s email address.
  2. In the field Reply To, if you wish, enter an email address to which replies, any delivery failure notices and out of office replies are to be sent.
  3. In the field Subject, enter the subject of your email.
  4. In the field Body, enter the message text. The message text is neither analysed nor changed by Tricia.
  5. Click Preview to see a formatted preview of the email.
  6. Click Send to send the email to all active (verified or unverified) members of the group.
